  I too preferred the original white folder to the current yellow one, a choice of colour is a good idea.

  The old icon was designed for Android 1.0 to 1.6.

  We designed the new icon respecting the design guidelines for Android
  2.0 through Android 3.0:
  http://developer.android.com/guide/practices/ui_guidelines/icon_design_launcher.html

  If you do not like the new icon after a while, please let us know again,
  and we'll think about creating a theme in the "retro" look. If it is just about the color (and not about 3D vs. 2D appearance), we may create a white folder for the list view.
